MPSC removes cap on number of attempts
The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) competitive examinations for government service at higher ranks has removed the condition of maximum attempts a candidate can avail.
MPSC had relaxed by one year the number of attempts a candidate can avail. The existing number of attempts is six for Open category, unlimited for SC/ST candidates and nine for OBCs.
On Wednesday decision to remove this condition and a candidate can make any number of attempts as he wishes. The condition applies to candidates ffrom all the categories.
The condition of age limit, however, has not been removed. Thus the attempts can be made within the age limit prescribed for candidates belonging to different categories.
